Domestic Violence, often referred to as Intimate Partner Violence, is a serious preventable public health problem. This can be missed or misidentified especially in ethnic communities, where “the norms” can be misconstrued. In this episode, Mona Makki, a Psychologist and a researcher in this field, talk to Café patrons about this issue. Mona is the Director of the ACCESS Community Health and Research Center in Dearborn, Michigan. She has committed herself to fight domestic violence, working closely with victims and their families,  and collaborating with faith leaders and the authorities in this fight.
